THE BUILDING

The Y Astoria is a newly renovated former Y.M.C.A. in Astoria, Oregon that currently houses multiple creative businesses, artist studio spaces and a five bedroom apartment.

From February 2025 the ground floor will house Pushdot Studio and Civil NW Mediterranean.

Pushdot Studio is Astoria’s newest Digital Image Resource; for custom printing, studio captures, exhibition mounting, retouching and high-res scanning.

Civil NW Mediterranean, a restaurant by Melissa Barber and Brett Meyer, striving to combine local and regional ingredients with flavors and techniques from the Mediterranean, inspired and informed by Brett’s experience growing up in Spain and Morocco.

The top floor of The Y Astoria continues the be used as temporary lodging. With a renovated 2500 sq ft private apartment, including a well equipped kitchen, two full bathrooms, five bedrooms and a spacious living area. The thoughtfully designed
Y DORMITORY was built out to accommodate visiting artists and workshop instructors occupying the gym, but is also available to the general public to stay and enjoy Astoria and the Pacific North West.

For bookings and availability check here.

The former 5000 square foot gymnasium is now a collective studio space and home to Astoria Sign Studio, Ogha, 46 North Farm and North Coast Watershed Association, with dedicated room for workshops and meetings. We are also working on artist-in-residence opportunities for certain periods of the year in combination with The Y DORMITORY.
